The crew of the Enterprise crash-lands on a planet where a alien wants an object from their ship.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Star Trek and the question most of us ask is: Is it still relevant and entertaining? YES, most definitely! This was a really fun and exciting space adventure/ action film. The cast are still as great as ever and the action is nonstop. Idris Elba plays a bland villain it’s in the third act is where he really shines. There was one problem I had but it didn’t ruin the film for me completely which it was with a scene with shaky cam during a action scene. If you’re a Star Trek fan or just like space movies then you’ll love this. I’m not a huge fan of the series and I do love the movies but with that aside, it’s now one of my favorite movies of the summer. Verdict: 8.6.  Rest in peace Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin.
